Text: Isaiah 43:18-21
Behold, I will do a new thing, now, it shall spring forth, shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert”. Isaiah 43:19
In 2019, God is set to do a new thing in our lives, according to His word to us through our leaders. Even though God has already made up his mind about this, you as His child need to also do your own part, so that His word can come to pass in your life. You need:
- PERCEPTION: i.e an understanding of what God wants to do “shall you not know it?…”(v 19b). What God intends to do in your life now is bigger and better than before, different and higher than what your intelligence can obtain for you. You must be able to perceive it, internalize it.
- PREPARATION: After perceiving, you must prepare for it. You must have a change of thought, heart, direction e.t.c in your daily activities, time management, budgeting and so on (Phil 3:13). You need to focus on the new thing, make enquiries, e.t.c.
- PURSUIT: You may need to leave your comfort zone, for pursuit is the proof of desire. Do something about your vision, Peter had to leave his comfort zone before he could walk on water. Take action in the direction of your goal, pursue it i.e draw water from the river in the wilderness, go forward.
As you diligently do these, your “new thing” will suddenly spring forth before your very eyes, and you will possess it.
