The Word OF The Lord to His Church at This Time – Rev. Paul Jinadu

Rev. Paul Jinadu

Some people have been asking if there is a word from the Lord I can pass on to the church at this time of global pandemic? A word to bring comfort and re-assurance that the Lord is still on the throne, and He will never forget His own. Yes, there is a word. I only wish the Lord had given me one much earlier than now.

I just got a picture. Covid-19 global virus attack is a baby. By comparison to its mother, it is a baby. If a baby that could hardly walk can bring the world system, health and wealth, to its knees, then what will happen if the mother of all pandemics is unleashed?

The picture I got was that of an iceberg. What we see on the surface is little compared to the submerged ‘mother’. In other words, the unseen pandemic has been raging for years. Undetected and unfelt in the physical realm. It is through the grace of God, and in answer to a praying Church, that God allowed the baby to raise its ugly head now. So we can have a taste of the silent war that has been raging in the spiritual realm for years, costly lives and creating an immunity against God. The world is just not believing in God, they defy Him.

God is not the One who sent this pandemic. If it were believers would have been set apart, just like the Israelites were in Goshen. God is on our side. Jesus is standing up at the right of the Father interceding for us. This is what He says in times like this:
“ While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.13 But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.15 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one” (John 17:12-15).

Three statements to hold on to from today:
I kept them in Your name.
None of them is lost
You should keep them from the evil one.

This is the prayer Jesus is praying for us right now, as believers around the world. I shall tell you how you as an individual can key into it later.

Remember God is not obliged to honour His promises to us if we don’t position ourselves in the right place. How then can you or I escape the clutches of the mother of all pandemics and her babies? This calls for individual action. Too long have we relied on the prayer of others, the anointing on the life of our great leaders, or safety in number syndrome of our mega churches and network. We need to find that hiding place that is in an intimate and undiluted union with Christ. We all need to know the God of Moses, the God of Abraham, the God of Elijah for ourselves. It is no longer enough to be crying out: “Where is the God of Elijah?” We need to find him ourselves.

That intimate fellowship and walk of obedience you cannot buy by sowing into someone’s ministry. It doesn’t come through the laying on of hands, no matter how many times you fall down in the Spirit. It doesn’t come by fasting. It is only by approaching the Lord in total surrender and seeking His face for yourself and by yourself. Then, as it were, He will give you the password into the Secret Place. This is the only safe place from the invisible but deadly enemy.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.” 3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. 4 He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield a buckler. 5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.
(Psalm 91:1-7)

Three statements to hold on to from today:
(a) Dwells in the secret place of the Almighty
(b) He is my refuge and my fortress
(c) You shall not be afraid.
